Started Exulans in 2018 after retiring from the U.S. Coast Guard following a 20-year career focused on law enforcement of living marine resources and ocean conservation policy, including five years as the Service’s representative to the Pacific Fisheries Management Council. In the past five years, he grew Exulans from supporting a single country to projects across four continents and spanning over a dozen countries.
Joined Exulans in 2021 after completing 30-year career with Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission. He spent the last six years as the Chief of the Law Enforcement Division, supervising over 850 general commission officers. He proposed and chaired the Association of Fish and Wildlife Intelligence Summit designed to bring State, Federal and Canadian conservation law enforcement professional together to collaborate on wildlife trafficking. He has supervised and managed complex fish and wildlife trafficking investigations for decades working alongside the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and National Marine Fisheries Service.
Joined Exulans in 2018 following over 30-years with the Washington Department of Fish Wildlife (WDFW) Police. The last ten years with WDFW Mike served as the Deputy Chief of operations, directly supervising 170 general commission officers in anti-trafficking, marine, and terrestrial units. He was also championed legislation and developed tools that supported the efforts of his teams. He was also directly engaged in national and international operational and policy level forums focused on the illegal trade in natural resources.
Joined Exulans in 2019 after completing three years as the Chief of Hawaii’s Division of Conservation and Resources Enforcement where he was responsible for supervision of 150 officers dedicated to protecting the natural and cultural resources of the state. Prior to leading DOCARE, Bob spent over 20 years with California’s Department of Fish and Wildlife, including serving as an Assistant Chief. Bob managed the Special Operations Unit including covert and high-risk operations targeting the illegal commercialization of wildlife.
Joined Exulans in 2019 with over a decade of experience developing and managing marine resource management capacity building programs throughout southeast Asia and the Pacific. A key part of these programs focuses on focused on institutionalizing processes through knowledge management principles. Gabrielle has experience managing all aspects of complex projects with a special emphasis on monitoring and evaluation for results and long-term impact.
Joined Exulans in 2022 after completing a 36 year law enforcement career with Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. George spent the last 12 years of his career supervising Statewide Investigations, including the computer forensics program, covert operations, internet crimes and surveillance unit. George conducted complex international fish and wildlife trafficking investigations specializing in digital forensics, financial analysis, covert operations, and Hi-Tech surveillance techniques. He holds advanced certifications in Digital Forensics, Financial Crimes Investigations and holds a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Accounting from the University of South Florida.
